How to Order a Selfie Background Check*
Step 1: Chose a package and click the Order box below it.
Step 2: Enter your name and email address. An encrypted link will be emailed to you.
Step 3: Enter your information. Confirm your identity by uploading a copy of your VALID driver's license or government issued PHOTO ID.
Step 4: Acknowledge and Authorize (similar to what an employer would give you).
Step 5: Complete payment.
You will immediately receive an email confirming your order. Within 24 hours you will receive another email that will ask to confirm your identity and give you access to a secure, encrypted link to download your Selfie Background Check.
*Packages include 1 name searched. When ordering a package that includes a County Criminal Search, a court access fee that the court charges will be applied. SelfieBackgroundCheck does not mark up these fees and has no control over the court access fees. “Basic” Selfie Background Check includes: Person / Identity Search: (SS#, Identity Search, Address Search) A search of your social security number to make sure the number is of legitimate use; it also provides addresses of where you are living and where you have lived going back to 7 years, with the dates of those addresses. In addition, the Person / Identity Search will also give names or alias's that are associated with your social security number. It is also known as an identity search and is used to help identify you to be matched to any existing criminal checks that will be searched. National Criminal Database Search : A database search of state and county criminal records databases across the entire United States. Keep in mind, counties and states are not required to report such records to any “national” database; and therefor this search will often miss some records of counties and states that do not report. However, it is a useful search because it gives a broader scope, covering a larger area, potentially reporting a record outside of the state in which you had lived. The county court houses are the original source of all criminal records, so it is the most accurate and the most up to date that you can get. The National Criminal Database Search is included in case records come up in another state, other than the county in which you live in. |

The County Criminal Search will search up to 3 counties; where you are currently living as well as 2 additional counties of where you have lived in the past. If you have moved recently within the past 7 years, this package is especially recommended. When a criminal background check is done on you by a potential employer, it is common for them to go back to at least 7 years of address history. This means each county that you have lived in during that time will be search at that county's courthouse. |

With the Federal Criminal Search, the Motor Vehicle Report, and the Continuous Monitoring being added, you are getting the most comprehensive report. The Federal Criminal Search reports any convictions on the federal level; that is convictions against the federal government. These crimes are different than felonies and misdemeanors that would appear on a County Criminal Search. Examples of federal crimes are: crimes in an airport, computer crimes, drug trafficking across state lines, bank robbery and mail fraud. These are considered higher level crimes and companies will normally include this search if you are applying for positions where you are dealing with other's personal information, dealing with money, or handling confidential information about a company or organization. The Motor Vehicle Report is always good to run in case you have violations that you may not know about or have forgotten about and has led to a suspended license or even a warrant for your arrest. Continuous Monitoring is doing a National Criminal Database Search on yourself every month, for 1 full year. This will give you notifications if a record appears on your criminal record, even if it is an error. At least you will know ahead of time without having to run one of the packages above. |

Courthouse access fees and State MVR fees are determined by these said government agencies, not by Selfie Background Check; and therefore they may change without notice. Changes are often minimal and rare, and Selfie Background Check will update any changes within a 48 hour period. Selfie Background Check does not mark these fees up.
